
God I love going to the theatre. When it’s done well it’s so inspirational, I find I always come out buzzing with ideas. Actually even done badly it can lead you to think about things differently, but this version of A Doll’s House was not done badly in any sense.
Amazing, dizzying performances are accompanied by an amazing, dizzying (no, but literally, it keeps spinning round) set. Hattie Morahan’s desperation seems so relevant and modern partly because of Simon Stephens’ new translation but mostly because she is just fantastic.
